Our Radiology Team can direct the needle into the affected area by using Ultrasound Imaging for extremely precise targeting. Direct injections using this guided Ultrasound technique have the benefit that they can lessen the need for any oral medication and provide you with the pain relief you are seeking.

Most appointments typically take 20 to 30 minutes depending upon your exam. When you arrive at our clinic you will be greeted by our friendly team who will then help prepare you for your appointment. Depending on the area being treated you may have to change into a clinic provided gown.

You will be called into your exam room where you will be positioned on the exam table for your treatment. The area being treated will be cleansed and a local anesthetic provided to numb the area in question.

Depending on the severity of your condition, you may experience mild discomfort as the injection is precisely guided using MSK Ultrasound. However, each individual experiences this differently depending on their pain tolerance. If you are experiencing discomfort, please let your Saddletown Radiologist know.

We typically ask our patients to wait after their procedure for at least 10 minutes to ensure there are no side effects.
